Here at Carlton Lodge your learning, discovery and adventure are our priorities. Since the outbreak of the Covid 19 Pandemic never has that been truer, and to meet those priorities, safety is our main concern. We pride ourselves on our systems, equipment, and staff in making sure that all our visitors have an amazing time but in a safe way. Clearly Covid 19 has added a few challenges to that but be rest assured we have everything in place to make sure your visit, be that for one day or for a week, is amazing and safe. We have full Covid 19 Risk assessments and have adapted our practices to ensure that all our visitors and staff remain safe. To ensure this, we carry out the following
- Lateral flow tests twice a week for all staff.
- Masks will be worn by our staff when deemed appropriate.
- Hand sanitiser is made available at all building entrances and used before activities.
- Facilities team to wear masks when serving food to groups and moving around the buildings, groups are encouraged to sanitise hands on entering dining rooms.
- Mixed Groups do not share indoor space.
Should the worst happen and someone in the party needs to self-isolate or is unwell with Covid 19 then we will be kind and sensible around this. Our aim will be to give the young people the amazing time they deserve and if changes need to be made, groups reduced, timings altered we will do everything we can to make those changes.
What procedures do you have in place if a member of the group had to isolate?
We would inform staff and a room would be made available with access to a bathroom and refreshments. The group would be required to arrange for the person who is isolating to be collected asap. The room would then be left for 72 hrs and then cleaned and sanitised afterwards.
We do ask that anyone who is isolating does not attend the Centre.
Would we be mixing with other groups in the buildings or on activities?
No, you have sole occupancy of your building, and it will be only your group on activities. Only CLAC staff or maintenance team will be entering your buildings
Are all your staff double vaccinated?
Most of our staff are double vaccinated, Staff are doing a Lateral Flow Test twice a week and are asked to wear masks when sharing indoor space.
Does our group have to wear masks inside or on activities?
No, we leave that to the discretion of your staff, CLAC staff will wear masks when sharing indoor space and when checking harness or on activities where social distance cannot be adhered to.
Would your staff be able to administer 1st aid to our group in case of emergency?
Yes, but we would ask that your staff attend to the “patient “where possible and our staff will step in when needed. We have several 1st aid kits around the site and in all the buildings.
Do we share equipment with other groups?
Yes, but all groups are requested to sanitise hands between each activity.
Would we have the site to ourselves?
Only if you have booked all the buildings for your group or we do not have another group on site, the only way we can guarantee no one else is on site is if you were to pay a premium price for sole access.
A member of my household has tested positive, but I have had a negative PCR result will I still be able to attend Carlton Lodge?
Yes, if you live in the same household as someone with COVID-19 and any of the following apply otherwise no:
- you are fully vaccinated
- you are below the age of 18 years 6 months
- you have taken part in or are currently part of an approved COVID-19 vaccine trial
- you are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons
Fully vaccinated means that you have been vaccinated with an MHRA approved COVID-19 vaccine in the UK, and at least 14 days have passed since you received the recommended doses of that vaccine.
A participant in my group has been unable to attend due to testing positive, will they get a full refund?
Yes, but we will need to be informed of this before your arrival.
A member of the group has tested positive, and the group have decided not to come, will the group get a full refund?
No, only the person who has tested positive will be entitled to a refund, if however, it is the group leader who has tested positive and no suitable replacement has been found, we will offer another date that is suitable to both parties, at no extra cost.
What if the government put us into lockdown again when my visit is due, will I get a full refund and/or the option to rebook again?
You will get the option of a full refund or to rebook.
If I choose to keep my deposit with you instead of a refund how long can I roll it over for?
12months unless you are one of our loyal customers that book bi-annually and in that case, we will roll it over to your next booking.
My booking is in a months’ time, but I am frightened we will go into lockdown again, if I cancel will I be entitled to a full refund?
Unfortunately, not unless the government guidelines state the residential cannot go ahead.
